Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our training programs, beauty services, and more.

What are academy model services?

Academy model services are optional, discounted services requested by individuals who knowingly agree to receive treatment from students as part of supervised training.

These appointments:

  • Are clearly labeled as academy model services
  • Are offered at a discounted rate
  • Involve student practitioners under professional supervision

They are never part of standard client bookings.

How do I book a service with a licensed professional only?

When you book through our Services section, your appointment is scheduled exclusively with a licensed professional.
If you are interested in academy model services, those bookings are handled separately and clearly identified.

If you ever have questions before booking, our team is happy to clarify and guide you.

Will a student be working on my brows or lashes?

No. All client beauty services at iBrow iLash are performed privately by a licensed, trained professional.
Students do not perform services on standard client appointments.

We operate our client services and academy training separately to ensure professional standards, safety, and consistent results for every guest.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup typically lasts between 1–3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, pigment choice, and the area treated. Because cosmetic pigments are designed to fade gradually, most clients choose periodic maintenance sessions to keep results looking fresh.

What brow techniques are included in the PMU Brow Training program?

The PMU Brow Training program covers Microblading, Powder Ombre Brows, and Nano Strokes. Each technique is taught with a focus on proper design, pigment selection, machine or manual control, and safety standards used in professional practice.

What is PMU training?

Permanent Makeup (PMU) training teaches cosmetic tattoo techniques such as brows, lips, and scalp micropigmentation using professional tools, pigments, and safety protocols. At iBrow iLash Academy & Studio, PMU training is hands-on and taught in a real studio environment, not online-only theory.

Is permanent makeup painful?

Discomfort levels vary by individual and treatment area. Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate. Topical numbing agents are used to support comfort throughout the procedure.

Do I need a consultation before booking permanent makeup (PMU) or scalp micropigmentation (SMP)?

Yes. Consultations are required for permanent makeup (PMU) and scalp micropigmentation (SMP) services. This allows us to review your goals, assess suitability, discuss expectations, and explain the process and aftercare before treatment.
Consultations help ensure safe, professional, and natural-looking results.
